Rohit Sharma

Another Indian batsman who struggled immensely in the South African tour was Mumbaikar Rohit Sharma. There was much uproar when Rohit was selected in the team since he has not been able to build his image as a good batsman in away conditions.

In the South African tour, Rohit played in two Tests and scored only 78 runs in the four chances. He failed to make it past even 50 runs. He has so far played only a solitary Test in England. Rohit scored 28 and 6 in the two innings that he played.

Being susceptible against the swinging ball, a brief county season will go a long way for Rohit Sharma and his future. He is yet to earn the mark of being a good Test batsman, English Tests can help him to that accolade.
