Former India all-rounder Suresh Raina has lost his father, Trilokchand Raina, who died of cancer on Sunday, February 6. Tirlokchand was a military officer and he was a pro of making bombs in an ordnance factory. However, he has passed away at his Ghaziabad residence.
His father’s ancestral village is ‘Rainawari’ in the Jammu and Kashmir union territory of India but he left the village after the killings of the Kashmir Pandits in the 1990s as well. Later, he and his family settled down in Muradnagar town. His father had a 10,000 rupees salary and he couldn’t afford the cricket coaching fees for Suresh Raina earlier.

Then Suresh Raina was admitted to the Guru Gobind Singh sports college, Lucknow, in 1998 as well. And, Raina said that he always remains careful not to mention anything related to the tragedy of Kashmir in front of his father.

As far as Suresh Raina is concerned, his Indian Premier League franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) hasn’t been retained before the IPL 2022 mega auction. Although in the 2021 season for Chennai Super Kings, he only scored 128 runs in 12 matches, he, however, has played a key role for CSK in their title win throughout the years.
