Former KKR Player Got An Offer Of ₹40 Lakhs For Fixing Matches

Cricket has always been considered a game of uncertainties and in India, it is no less than any religion, but cricket has also been tainted with bad stains. Players have often gotten caught in match-fixing and it resulted in some infamous incidents. One such case has been seen on a former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player. As per the reports of Indian express, former KKR player, Rajagopal Satish has alleged that he was offered INR 40 lakh on Instagram for match-fixing.

And Rajagopal Satish has lodged a complaint in this regard with the Bangalore police. Satish claims that he has turned down the offer immediately. The complaint read, “On January 3, a person named Bunny Anand contacted Satish on Instagram and messaged him luring to pay ₹40 lakh and told that two players have already agreed to the offer.”

Before informing the police, Rajagopal Satish has also informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), ICC in this matter. The Anti-Corruption and Security Agency of BCCI does not have the authority to conduct search and investigation, so the matter has been handed over to the police.

Police have said that on January 3, a person named Anand had contacted  Satish and offered him ₹40 lakhs on Instagram and told him that two players have already accepted the offer, but the former KKR player rejected the offer. Said sorry. The police have formed a special team to nab the accused.

Rajagopal Satish is 41 years old and he hails from Tamil Nadu. Apart from Tamil Nadu, he has also played for Assam in first-class cricket. Rajagopal Satish has been a part of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mumbai Indians, and Punjab Kings in the IPL. He has also played in the Indian Cricket League. Chepauk now plays for the Super Gillies in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) and it is believed that Sathish was offered money to settle matches in this tournament.
