Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni has been known as one of the best cricketing brains of the game as he led a team in white-ball cricket. From leading a young team during the inaugural World Twenty20 glory in 2007 to realizing India’s dream of lifting ODI World Cup after 28 years in 2011 to winning Champions Trophy in 2013 with respect to unfamiliar climes in England, Dhoni played a crucial role in changing fortunes of Indian cricket.
Dhoni is the only captain in the history of the game to win all the three ICC trophies namely ICC WT20, ODI World Cup and Champions Trophy. He is currently on a sabbatical from international cricket ever since the team’s semi-final defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Moin Khan showered his praise on former Indian skipper for changing the face of Indian cricket. Moin, who retired from international cricket in 2004 has seen through what Sourav Ganguly had started and the Indian cricket reaching different levels altogether under the guardianship of MS Dhoni.
Dhoni made his ODI debut against Bangladesh under Sourav Ganguly’s captaincy in 2004. Since then, he has played in 350 ODIs, 90 Tests and 98 T20Is for India while affecting a colossal record of 829 dismissals behind the stumps.
This goes to show his street-smart wicketkeeping. It is also worth mentioning that under the leadership of Dhoni, India also reached the top spot in ICC Rankings, both in red-ball cricket and in the 50-over format. The former chief selector and Pakistan team manager also stressed the fact that Indian cricket is ahead of Pakistan cricket because of a lack of match winners.
