Gautam Gambhir

The most interesting development ahead of 2018 IPL was that of Gautam Gambhir captaining the Delhi Daredevils team. The Delhi boy was back at home city and they expected him to lead them to a trophy-winning season which has eluded them so far.

But the performances of Delhi team went downwards and they were losing matches rapidly. The captain decided to step down and Gautam Gambhir owned the responsibility for the losses. He is now not part of the playing XI.

Gambhir’s age is now 35 and with his style of batting in T20 cricket, its difficult to imagine him being active on the field.
