The win marked India’s second assignment in the new ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle following their drawn series in England earlier this year. The Ahmedabad Test saw India’s batting unit dominate, posting 448/5 declared in response to West Indies’ 162. Centuries from Dhruv Jurel, KL Rahul, and Ravindra Jadeja set the tone before the bowlers dismantled the visitors for 148 in the second innings.

Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round brilliance—scoring a century and taking four wickets—earned him the Player of the Match award. Following the Delhi Test, the Indian team will travel to Australia for a white-ball series, before returning home to host South Africa. With Gambhir’s mentorship and the team’s growing confidence, India will be eager to continue their winning momentum in all formats.
