In a recent revelation, Gautam Gambhir, mentor for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), shed light on his relationship with Virat Kohli, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter. Addressing media sensationalism surrounding their interactions, Gambhir expressed dismay at the portrayal of their rapport solely for TRP gains, emphasizing a deeper understanding between them beyond on-field altercations.

“It is all about TRPs. Media has got no clue what kind of a person I am, what kind of a person Virat is. All the media wants to do is create hype. But hype can also be created in a positive way,” Gautam Gambhir remarked, highlighting the need for a more nuanced portrayal of their relationship.
Echoing Kohli’s sentiments, Gambhir emphasized the importance of maturity in handling personal relationships and urged for privacy in their interactions. He emphasized the irrelevance of external interference in their camaraderie, advocating for a mutual understanding devoid of external influence.

“Even if I want to, I cannot pull off even one move. So if I had to learn something from Virat, it would be his dance moves (smiles),” Gautam Gambhir asserted.
