Rajasthan Royals have recently signed South African fast bowler, Gerald Coetzee as a replacement for Liam Livingstone for the remaining Indian Premier League (IPL). However, Coetzee has so far played eight T20 games and has claimed nine wickets which came at an average of 23.33 in the format, apart from having represented South Africa in two Under-19 World Cups as well.
On the other hand, England all-rounder Livingstone has returned home from the IPL giving bio bubble fatigue, which left Rajasthan Royals with only four overseas options available after both their key players – Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer were ruled out of the tournament with their respective injuries. However, Rassie van der Dussen and Coetzee are expected to add strength to their squad.

However, the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League has been taking place amid the crunch time of COVID-19 and many players have already quit the bio bubble. Meanwhile, due to the ban on travelling, players couldn’t reach home as well.
Earlier, on April 20, Rajasthan Royals shared the news of Liam Livingstone on their official Twitter account. “Liam Livingstone has flown back home late last night, due to bubble fatigue accumulated over the past year. We understand and respect his decision, and will continue supporting him in any way we can,” they tweeted.
