The way the Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper, Rohit Sharma was batting in the clash against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), it needed something special from the opposition to get rid of him and Glenn Maxwell and Jimmy Neesham did exactly the same. The Kings XI Punjab duo came up with a stunning effort at the boundary line to send back the Mumbai Indians skipper.
Before his dismissal, Rohit Sharma amassed 70 off 45 balls as he led from the front in the crunch clash after his team made a shaky start. Just like Kings XI Punjab, MI also came into this game after losing two of their first three games.

After being asked to bat first, the reigning IPL champions started on a poor note as Quinton de Kock departed for a duck in the very first over. Even before Mumbai could recover, Suryakumar Yadav was run-out for 10 and MI was reeling at 21 for 2. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan then shared 64 runs for the third wicket before the latter departed.
And while wickets were falling at regular intervals from the other end, Rohit didn’t give up. But just when he would have liked to go for the big shots, the stunning effort from Maxwell and Neesham forced him to go back to the pavilion.
