Glenn Maxwell and Vini Raman Welcome Baby Boy, Named Logan Maverick

Australia’s star cricketer Glenn Maxwell and his wife, Vini Raman, have welcomed a baby boy into their lives. Vini shared the joyous news on her Instagram handle, revealing that their son, named Logan Maverick Maxwell, was born on Monday, September 11. She posted a touching photo that showed their baby holding Glenn’s finger.

The couple had announced Vini’s pregnancy in May 2023, and in July, Vini shared glimpses of her traditional Tamil baby shower ceremony. Glenn and Vini got married on March 18, 2022, in a wedding ceremony that blended Indian customs and Christian traditions. They exchanged garlands in accordance with Indian customs during their all-Tamil wedding and later held their wedding vows ceremony in Australia.

Glenn Maxwell, known for his explosive batting and all-round cricketing abilities, recently suffered an ankle injury, which ruled him out of Australia’s tour of South Africa. As he recovers from his injury, there is a possibility that he might miss the upcoming ODI series against Team India, which precedes the highly anticipated 2023 ODI World Cup.

After the conclusion of the Asia Cup 2023, both Team India and Australia are scheduled to play three ODIs. The ODI series is set to begin on Friday, September 22, and will run until September 24.

Australia will then shift their focus to preparations for the upcoming World Cup, which is slated to begin on October 5 in India. They will open their World Cup campaign against the host nation, India, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, October 8.

Following the ODI series against India, Australia will participate in two warm-up matches as part of their preparation for the marquee ICC event. These warm-up games will see them face the Netherlands and Babar Azam’s Pakistan. The Australian team will be aiming to secure their record-extending sixth World Cup title during this prestigious tournament.
