Maxwell, who witnessed a forgettable outing for the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in IPL 2020, saw a change of fortunes with the new season. He managed to score just 108 runs from 13 matches for Punjab Kings last season and didn’t manage to hit a single six.

As a result of his poor performance, Glenn Maxwell was released by Punjab Kings ahead of the IPL auction and RCB lapped up him for a whopping ₹14.25 crores. Overall, Maxwell has 1544 runs from 83 matches at 22.37 and a strike rate of 154.24 with six half-centuries.
