Starting with a humorous imitation of du Plessis’ batting stance and strokeplay behind the nets, Maxwell’s performance had onlookers in stitches. From emulating du Plessis’ trademark cover drive to mirroring Kohli’s iconic walk to the crease and meticulous guard-taking ritual, Maxwell’s impersonation was spot-on.


Joined by teammate Mohammed Siraj, who played along by acting as a slip fielder, Maxwell further amused the crowd by donning wicketkeeping gloves and mimicking Kohli’s batting during a net session.
