Glenn McGrath Terms T Natarajan As The Find Of The Tour For India

There is no denying the fact that the Indian fast bowler, T Natarajan has impressed one and all by proving his with at the biggest stage in international cricket. He grabbed a lot of limelight with his fantastic performance for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2020 where he took 16 wickets in as many games.

Natarajan was also nicknamed the ‘yorker specialist’ after bowling consistent yorkers in the tournament. Not many can forget the yorker that he bowled to castle AB de Villiers in the IPL 2020 play-offs. Australia legend Glenn McGrath showered praises at the youngster from Tamil Nadu and said that he definitely had to be the find of the tour for India.

During the commentary in the second T20I in Sydney, McGrath said, “Was very impressed with Natarajan. He’s definitely the find of this tour for India, hopefully, he continues.”

Natarajan was only playing his second T20I match for India and managed to bowl a brilliant spell of 2-20 in 4 overs, in a game where over 400 runs were scored. Man-of-the-Match Hardik Pandya speaking at the post-match interview also said that T Natarajan was as deserving of the title as he was.

Hardik had said, “I thought Natarajan would have been Man of the Match. The other bowlers struggled and he really had a good game, he gave us a target about 10 runs lower than it would have been.”

The pacer has also received praise from former India spinner Harbhajan Singh, who said that he was very happy for the youngster.

Harbhajan had said, “Well, I am so happy for Natarajan. The way he has gone about his life and the way he is performing is unbelievable. It shows that if you keep the faith and keep working hard and believe in yourselves, anything is possible. “He has been a brilliant bowler for India in this series. He has been one of those major pillars in this series. Picking up wickets when India needed those wickets.”
