During the third ODI of Sri Lanka’s tour of South Africa held earlier this year, the match went through an unexpected pause, not because of adverse weather conditions, but, because of a swarm of bees which had enter the ground.

The players laid down on the ground in order to prevent themselves from the bees. As expected, some people saw the funny side of it. Fortunately, all players remained safe.

As the match resumed, Sri Lanka continued their poor run on the tour as they were bundled out on 163 in 39.2 overs. Niroshan Dickwella top-scored with 74 (80), including seven fours. For South Africa, Dwaine Pretorius had delivered a Man-of-the-Match bowling spell of 7-2-19-3.

The South African batsmen, led by their skipper, AB de Villiers (60*), chased the total in 32 overs with seven wickets in hand.
