Gujarat Titans (GT) leg-spinner, Rashid Khan may be the most successful spinner in the scene right now but even he seems to have been borrowing some inspiration to come up with that unique bowling style of his. Khan has won several matches for the newly-formed IPL franchise Gujarat Titans in the ongoing season both with the ball and bat.
One of the GT fans has pointed out that Rashid Khan may have to thank Jethalal from ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ for lending him the bowling action that has helped him become an asset in Hardik Pandya’s GT camp.

Of course, this isn’t a true story by any means and the official Twitter account of Gujarat Titans wants to set the record straight.

Former IPL Purple Cap winner Imran Tahir is currently working as a cricket expert for ESPNCricinfo. On a recent appearance on the website’s IPL coverage show, Tahir dissected Rashid Khan’s bowling and said:
Imran Tahir had said, “He is a different type of bowler and his pace through the air is a lot. When a leg-spin bowls through the air, he has to make it slow through the air for turn. Rashid is different because he bowls quick through the air.”

Khan has played an integral role in the success of the Gujarat Titans this year. The Ahmedabad-based franchise roped him in for a massive 15 crore ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, and he has done a phenomenal job as the team’s vice-captain. Khan also led the team to a win against the Chennai Super Kings in Hardik Pandya’s absence.
