Harbhajan Singh Defines Virat Kohli’s Responsibility In RCB’s Line-up

The veteran Indian spinner, Harbhajan Singh has said that the stand-in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper, Virat Kohli will have the responsibility for the team to keep their momentum in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Kohli’s partnership has been crucial in most of the games with Faf du Plessis. Kohli and Du Plessis have been in top form for RCB this season, with the skipper leading the charts when it comes to the Orange Cap race.

The Indian stalwart isn’t far behind when it comes to runs and has scored four half-centuries this season and has also been the stand-in skipper for RCB this season. The Bengaluru-based franchise has won a couple of consecutive games and are currently fifth on the table with eight points to their name. RCB will welcome KKR to the Chinnaswamy stadium on 26th April, Wednesday and Harbhajan said that Kohli will have a big role to play this season.

Speaking to Star Sports, as quoted by Crictracker, the former spinner said Kohli will have to take the responsibility to keep RCB up and his partnership with Du Plessis will be crucial. Harbhajan Singh said that the good form of the RCB openers will give relief to the team this season.

Harbhajan Singh explained, “Virat Kohli will have to take the responsibility to keep RCB up. His partnership with Faf will be crucial. Virat and Faf are in good form and this will always give relief to RCB.”

Imran Thair, who was also part of the discussion, hailed Kohli as a class batter and said he wanted the star batter to score a lot of runs in the ongoing season. Tahir said that RCB has high hopes for Kohli this season and he should think about staying at the crease for a little longer.

Elaborating the same, Imran Tahir said, “Virat Kohli is a class batsman. It has always been difficult for me to get him out. I want him to score a lot of runs in IPL. His team has high hopes for him and for this reason, Virat should think about staying on the wicket for a little longer.”
