Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, and Suresh Raina have been brutally trolled for posting a video where the trio can be seen laughing and limping while dancing to the iconic Bollywood number ‘Tauba Tauba’. The three – who featured in the victorious India Champions in the inaugural Championship of Legends – took to their social media accounts to share the video after the team’s victory over the Pakistan Champions in the final.

In the video, they limp and hold their backs, showing how much the struggle of stiff competition is affecting them physically. The video, however, angered many who found it insensitive. Para-badminton star Manasi Joshi slammed the former cricketers for ‘mocking disabilities’.

Arman Ali, executive director, National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People, has lodged a complaint against the trio with the SHO of the Amar Colony police station. Now, responding to the onslaught, Harbhajan Singh was seen trying to explain the reason behind the video.

Ali said it was about jokingly portraying the tiredness and physical pains they were undergoing after 15 days of continuous competitive cricket. With much heat on him over the video, Harbhajan Singh apologized publicly to any person who might have been hurt by the act and requested that people move on from the incident.

“Just wanted to clarify to those who are getting outraged by our recent video of ‘Tauba Tauba’ on social media, post-winning championship in England. We never meant to hurt any individual’s sentiments. We respect every single person and community. This video was about how our bodies felt after playing continuous cricket for 15 days—sore and tired. We mean no disrespect or insult to anybody. If people think we have crossed any boundary, I humbly apologize. Let us stop the negativity right here and move on. Stay happy and healthy. Love to all,” Harbhajan posted on his official ‘X’ handle.

Although the actress apologized and explained her mistake, it really shows how much sensitivity and awareness is needed in social media posts, more so from public figures who have vast and diversified audiences.
