The Indian turbanator, Harbhajan Singh reckons the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has already become a legend in his eyes following his 37th ODI century in the second ODI against Windies at Visakhapatnam, during which he also surpassed the milestone of 10,000 ODI runs. Meanwhile, Kohli reached the milestone in his 205th innings to become the fastest batsman in history to score 10000 runs in the format. However, Sachin Tendulkar had the previous record as he took 259 innings to get there.
Speaking about his achievements to India Today, Harbhajan congratulated Kohli saying that he is proud of the batsman, he said, “Big, big congratulations to Virat Kohli, and as an Indian and fellow cricketer, I feel proud for him as he achieves these feats. Beating Sachin’s, Sourav’s and Dravid’s records and with Kohli taking the lead from these legends, shows the caliber of this man.”
Kohli became the fourth Indian batsman and 13th batsmen in the world to enter the 10,000-run club in ODIs. Furthermore, Harbhajan lauded Kohli’s work ethics adding that if you work hard success will come your way.

Bhajji said, “Especially for someone who is still young and still hungry for runs whenever he goes out to bat for Team India. He is not satisfied with the fifties, sixties, and seventies, he goes on to score hundreds. 10,000 runs in just 205 innings show the quality of this batsman. Hats off to him, salute to him for his achievements and showing us that if you work hard, nothing can be out of your sight.”
Virat Kohli is the leading run-scorer of 2018, having scored 1046 runs in 11 innings with an average of almost 150. England’s Johnny Bairstow sits second in the list with 1025 runs in 22 innings.
Talking about the same, Harbhajan said, “He wants to be the guy who is in the middle to finish the innings. The hunger is still there to get runs for Team India. He does not throw away his wicket. Shows his dedication, his dedication, and his passion. In my eyes, he is already a legend.”
