Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is most likely to be included in India’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, which commences Sunday, 6th October. Gwalior, in Madhya Pradesh, will host the opening match, and before the fight, a warm welcome awaited Pandya on his arrival at the Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia Air Terminal. Fans had been waiting for his comeback, and videos of the grand reception have surfaced on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter).

Hardik Pandya walked through the arrivals gate with a smattering of security and police personnel flanking him, dressed casually yet stylishly, sporting a lavender oversized T-shirt and black sunglasses. He later left in a Toyota for his hotel, to which he will soon be joined by his teammates.

Reports have it that before finally heading off to Gwalior, Hardik Pandya flew in from Bengaluru following an intense training camp at the National Cricket Academy. Hardik’s brother Krunal Pandya was also training, and he shared a few heartwarming moments on social media in the form of adorable pictures of his son Agastya accompanying him to his training sessions.

While the team management kept mum as much as it could on Hardik’s elevation as full-time captain of India’s T20 outfit, the fact remained that Suryakumar Yadav will be the new skipper of the short-format outfit. Strategically so, said chief selector Ajit Agarkar and head coach Gautam Gambhir, because with Hardik’s injury history, it made more sense to let Yadav lead the side for greater stability in the long run.

The teams have already announced their squads for the series which has been named after India’s 15-man squad led by Suryakumar Yadav, while Bangladesh too have made their announcement.
