Gujarat Titans (GT) are locking horns with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 16th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium. When there is confusion between the batters, it usually results in a run-out but the GT skipper, Hardik Pandya messed up a run-out opportunity. Pandya made a mess on a run-out on the last ball of the innings while batters were running for the third and dislodged stumps with his foot to miss an easy-looking run-out.
After being unbeaten so far in the tournament GT won the toss and opted to bowl first and managed to get two early wickets on a total of 34 runs. Liam Livingstone and Shikhar Dhawan stitched a partnership for the third wicket to steady the innings after that as the former played a brilliant knock scoring 64 runs and PBKS was aiming for a total of around 200 at one stage.

However, GT bowlers managed to restrict Punjab on 189/9. However, on the last ball of the first innings, Hardik Pandya made a mess of a run-out opportunity caused due to chaos between the batters on the last ball of the innings.
Hardik Pandya was bowling the last ball of the innings and he bowled a short ball to Arshdeep Singh. The batter pulled it hard to deep mid-wicket and then decided to risk taking a second run as it is the final delivery.

However, the throw from the fielder was wayward and the batters decided to go for the third run. It should have been an easy run-out for Hardik Pandya but he caught the ball and dislodged the bails with his foot and even missed the stumps post that. Replays confirmed it and all the GT captain could do was smile at his brain fade.
