India all-rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to start his new journey in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has been appointed as the captain of the new IPL team Ahmedabad for the upcoming season. The franchise has signed him for a whopping amount of Rs 15 crore. However, this is the first time he will be playing for another team other than Mumbai Indians as he has been with Mumbai ever since making his debut in the cash-rich league way back in 2015.

His stunning IPL campaigns helped him evolve as one of the best all-rounders in the country. His power-hitting prowess and pace bowling throughout the years helped the team as well. However, he saw rock bottom due to injuries for the last couple of years. While he has become irregular in the Indian team, Mumbai didn’t retain him ahead of the mega auction of IPL 2022. But, the Ahmedabad franchise trusted him and Hardik Pandya is looking forward to starting his new journey.

“It’s a new era for us and I am excited what lies ahead. What I can promise you is this team will always fight and give it their all. A big welcome to Rashid and Shubman as well, two players whom I know extremely well and will bring a lot to our table. See you soon,” Hardik Pandya concluded.
