Pandya’s injury occurred during the group stages of the World Cup, forcing him to miss the remainder of the tournament, where India ultimately finished as runners-up. The setback also kept him sidelined during India’s subsequent limited-overs series against Australia and their tour of South Africa.

Among those who expressed well wishes was Australian cricket star David Warner, who commented on Pandya’s post with a heartfelt message, “Get well soon mate.”

The cricketing world witnessed a surprising turn of events as Pandya made a sensational return to his former Indian Premier League (IPL) team, the Mumbai Indians, through a high-profile trade with the Gujarat Titans. Pandya had previously led the Gujarat-based franchise in the last two editions, guiding them to victory in their inaugural season.
