The flamboyant Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, who hasn’t played any form of competitive cricket since the conclusion of the T20I series against Australia in December last year, is now raring to get back on the field against England in the first T20I on Friday. In a video posted from Hardik on social media, he can be seen hitting some exquisite shots in the nets.
The swashbuckling batsman was seen showing his range before hitting a no-look six over mid-on region. Captain Virat Kohli, head coach Ravi Shastri, and batting coach Vikram Rathour and Shikhar Dhawan can be seen enjoying Hardik’s ‘brutality’ from a safe distance. Much to the delight of the fans, Hardik Pandya will also be bowling towards the end of the video which has been retweeted over 1,100 times in just over 3 hours.

Towards the end of the video, Hardik Pandya can also be seen bowling at some fierce pace. After getting back surgery in 2019, he was not bowling in competitive games.

Hardik Pandya was also part of the India Test squad for the recently-concluded four-match series against England but did not feature in any of the matches.
The flamboyant all-rounder last played for India in a T20I match against Australia in December. He had amassed 78 runs in 3 matches, including an unbeaten 46 which helped the Indian Indian team to chase down the target of 195 runs and take a 2-0 unassailable lead in the series. In the 3 ODIs prior to that, he registered scores of 90, 28, and 92 not out. India won the last match of the series to go down 1-2.

Hardik Pandya has been kept away from bowling for a while due to a lower back injury he suffered during Asia Cup 2018. Hardik recovered and featured in the World Cup 2019 before the injury resurfaced. Hee underwent back surgery in London in October 2019.
