India’s T20I captain, Hardik Pandya, displayed a heartwarming gesture following their triumph in the 3rd T20I of the ongoing series against the West Indies. The match, held at the Providence Stadium in Guyana, ended in a resounding 7-wicket victory for India, breathing new life into the 5-match series.
After completing his post-match obligations on August 8, Hardik Pandya, still wearing his pads, headed towards a specific stand within the stadium. Carrying a signed ball, he jogged towards a young female fan and handed her the ball with a smile. This gesture held a special significance as the same fan had been hit on the chin by a cricket ball during India’s training session before the 3rd T20I.

During the training session mishap, while batting in the nets, Hardik had accidentally hit the fan with the ball. This touching act of kindness from Hardik Pandya has resonated positively across social media platforms.
The third T20I match witnessed India secure a crucial victory over the West Indies, rekindling their chances in the series. The triumph was largely attributed to a stellar all-round performance by the Indian team.
Suryakumar Yadav’s splendid innings took center stage, as he scored a remarkable 83 runs from just 44 balls. His knock, embellished with 10 fours and four sixes, came at a crucial juncture when India lost both openers early. Yadav’s contribution not only stabilized the innings but also set the tempo for India’s successful chase.
Tilak Varma played an equally vital role, offering an unbeaten 49 runs in a supportive capacity. His partnership of 87 runs with Yadav steered India towards victory. Varma’s composed batting guided India to reach the target of 160 runs in just 17.5 overs.

However, the triumph was not solely attributed to the batting efforts. The bowlers, too, played an instrumental role in curbing the West Indies’ scoring opportunities. The standout bowler was left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who secured three wickets for 28 runs. His spell proved pivotal in controlling the opposition’s run rate during the middle overs. Additionally, Axar Patel and Mukesh Kumar added a wicket each, further tightening India’s grip on the match.
