Pakistan’s pacer, Haris Rauf who is currently plying his trade in Big Bash League (BBL) for the Melbourne Stars was seen having a ‘COVID-safe’ wicket celebration. Rauf’s wicket celebration in BBL has left everyone perplexed. This incident happened in the rescheduled 27th match of the BBL between Melbourne Stars and Perth Scorchers on 11th January.
Haris Rauf was introduced in the bowling attack in the third over of the game and got the crucial wicket of Kurtis Patterson on the second ball of his spell. He bowled a full delivery angling away outside off stump on which Patterson tried to drive but unfortunately got an edge and the keeper caught a good low catch.

After this wicket, Haris Rauf was seen doing a celebration in which he was doing the gesture of using the hand sanitizer and putting a mask on. Here is the video of the same:

After his wicket of Kurtis Patterson, Haris Rauf does the gesture of using the hand sanitizer and puts on a mask. He is raising an awareness of the current scene to be followed. So this was a full delivery angling away outside off stump, Patterson goes for a cover drive, gets an edge and the keeper takes a good low catch.
Perth Scorchers won the bat flip and decided to bat first. Glenn Maxwell who missed the last few matches due to Covid-19 was back in the Stars lineup.

The quickfire runs from Skipper Turner and Aaron Hardie took the team to a big total of 196 runs in 20 overs. Haris Rauf took a couple of wickets and leaked 38 runs in his 4 overs spell.
