Similarly, Harpreet Brar, the left-arm spinner for Punjab Kings, recently wowed fans with his singing abilities.

In a heartwarming Instagram reel shared by Gujarat Titans, Brar sang a Punjabi track titled ‘PAGG’ for two children, including the son of former cricketer Ashish Nehra. Brar, who released the song in December 2023, has garnered over a million views on YouTube. His impromptu performance was supported by Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill and coach Ashish Nehra, showcasing the camaraderie among players beyond the competitive arena.

Brar’s talents extend beyond music, as evidenced by his stellar performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023-24, where he claimed 15 wickets in 10 games. This impressive form has carried over into the Indian Premier League (IPL) season, where he has been a standout performer for Punjab Kings.

 

In a recent match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Brar’s economical bowling restricted the opposition to just 13 runs in four overs while securing crucial wickets. His exceptional performance has caught the attention of cricket experts and former players, with Kevin Pietersen advocating for his inclusion in the Indian team for the upcoming World Cup.

Punjab Kings, however, have had a mixed start to the IPL 2024 season, winning their opening game against Delhi Capitals but subsequently suffering two consecutive losses.
