Harsha Bhogle Terms Ravindra Jadeja As ‘Sir Jadeja’, All Responds Hilariously

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has now been suspended until further notice after multiple cases of Covid-19 were reported across camps in different bubbles. While the BCCI considering resuming the tournament by shifting the remaining games in Mumbai, two new cases on Tuesday, Amit Mishra and Wriddhiman Saha led the BCCI and IPL Governing Council to take the last resort.

With a lot of uncertainty over the future of the tournament, BCCI will be expected to propose a solution to conclude the curtailed event. Notably, the league came to a halt at the halfway mark as all the teams had faced each other at least once in the league, with reverse clashes only remaining. However, the IPL 2021 was as entertaining as it can get, be it AB de Villiers’ sensational knocks or Jos Buttler’s blitzkrieg against SRH, or Harshal Patel bowling at the death overs to Avesh Khan and Deepak Chahar setting up powerplays on fire with the ball.

Unarguably, the all-rounder performance of Ravindra Jadeja against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai was the cherry on the cake. Jadeja smothered the Purple Cap holder Patel for a whopping 37 runs in the final over to finish unbeaten 62 off just 28. Apart from that he also got the wickets of Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers.

So, it was no wonder that the celebrated cricket analyst, Harsha Bhogle was seen praising the CSK all-rounder and chose him as his stand-out all-rounder in the tournament so far.

In a video posted by Cricbuzz, Harsha Bhogle said, “The all-round performance of the season; there can only be one, and that is Sir Jadeja himself. He hits 37 off the last over, he then picks 3/13 including the wickets of Maxwell and AB, has a direct hit. One person doing that (is) inconceivable. If there is a better performance than this in this season, I want to be there, bang in the middle watching it happen.”

Interestingly, Ravindra Jadeja took note of the same and even responded to Bhogle. Jadeja replied, “Thanks a lot @bhogleharsha but I will be more happy if you call me Ravindra Jadeja.” If he continues to perform this way, he might as well end up earning a knighthood someday, who knows!
