Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be facing Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 54th game of the IPL 2023 away from home. Whoever wins the crucial game at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will rise to third place in the points table, a significant advantage over the rest of the field, which is congested at the moment. RCB will have a lot of dependency on Harshal Patel, who had a brilliant record at the Wankhede last year.

Harshal Patel, however, has suffered issues with consistency in the ongoing IPL 2023, leaking runs at 9.77 per over. Speaking ahead of RCB’s game against MI, Harshal said that confidence can only come by correct execution – something that he has struggled with this season.

In a video shared by RCB on their official media Media handles, Harshal Patel said, “Confidence comes from the execution of skill. The more often you do it the more confident you become. There are instances where you cannot do it and I have been going through that a lot this season.”

The pacer said that the only way to correct those issues can be corrected by going back to the nets and correcting the things that he felt went wrong in the game.

Harshal Patel further added, “When you are going through that you come back to the nets and try correct whatever mistakes you think you are making. And when you get into the game and your only focus should be on what you are trying to do and not what the batters are trying to do.”

Patel further stressed that even if he was having a bad day at the office, he has the ability win the game for the team by creating an impact in the final over of the game.

Harshal Patel elaborated, “Even if you conceded 50 runs in 3 overs, you can bowl a brilliant fourth over and win the game for your team. So, the focus is always on the next ball.”

RCB and MI are currently at the sixth and eighth positions in the league table.
