Hasan Ali reveals source of his celebration

Star Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali has named Waqar Younis as his role model and revealed he watched his videos before Champions Trophy final, which took place in London, England.

Hasan has been sensational in the limited-over cricket since his debut in the 2016 and made a significant rise whenever gets an opportunity. He is the latest bloke in the rick fast bowling history of Pakistan.

In a short span of time, he became top-ranked bowler in the One-Day International cricket. Ali grabbed limelight during the Champions Trophy 2017, where he bagged 13 wickets in five matches and helped Pakistan to lift the trophy for the first time.

Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, he said “I used to follow Vicky [Waqar Younis] bhai as a kid and watch his aggression. I decided that when I will play and take wickets, I will celebrate in the same aggressive way as I saw him celebrate after getting a batsman out. I am also from a family where aggression is present. My style of celebration is especially for the fans who come to the ground leaving their job or studies. I think there should be something for them to enjoy.”

The 23-year-old has 56 scalps in 26 ODI matches so far and he seems to be a future star for Pakistan. Talking about his celebration, Ali quoted “Maybe they will think that they should come to our next match so that they get to see me do this celebration. There will also be batsmen whose style they prefer.”

The man of the series of CT 2017 concluded while naming Waqar Younis as his role model. “Waqar Younis was my bowling role model. I started off as a batsman, like most kids. The first time I saw him was in 1999-2000. Then I decided that I should learn fast bowling.”
