Swastik Chikara, a promising young cricketer for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), continues to express his admiration for Virat Kohli, especially after RCB’s crucial win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) that confirmed their spot in the top two of the IPL 2025 points table. Although Chikara, hailing from Ghaziabad, is yet to make his IPL debut after being picked for INR 30 lakh at the auction, he has consistently drawn attention for his respect and reverence towards Kohli.

Often referring to the former India captain as his “bade bhai” (elder brother), Chikara has spoken about learning valuable lessons from Kohli’s unmatched discipline and work ethic.
His deep admiration for Kohli has become a recurring feature on RCB’s social media, resonating with fans. Following the win over LSG, Chikara shared a light-hearted moment with Kohli in the dressing room, snapping a selfie together.

In a humorous video shared by RCB, VIrat Kohli jokingly quipped, “Dimaag khaata rehta hai hamesha,” teasing the youngster. Chikara responded with a grin, holding up the selfie and saying, “Bade bhai hai hamara. Jab mann kare, tab photo le lete hain.” Their camaraderie clearly reflects the healthy team spirit in the RCB camp.

On the field, Kohli has been in phenomenal form this season, amassing 602 runs with eight fifties and currently sits fifth in the Orange Cap race. Against LSG, despite Rishabh Pant’s breathtaking 118* off 61 balls, RCB chased down the steep 228-run target in 18.4 overs.

Captain Jitesh Sharma starred with a blistering 85* off 33 balls, while Kohli and Mayank Agarwal added crucial support with 54 (30) and 41* (23) respectively. With this victory, RCB secured second place and will now face Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 on May 29. The Eliminator between the Gujarat Titans and the Mumbai Indians is scheduled for May 30.
