England women’s cricket skipper,  Heather Knight recently named her favorite team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). She took over the Twitter handle of the England Cricket Board and then answered some fan questions on social media. One of the fans asked her about her favorite PSL team to which she replied Multan Sultans and added that Mohammad Rizwan was one of her favorites.

The Pakistan Super League has gained a lot of popularity in the last couple of seasons. One of the main reasons behind the rise in the fan following of the PSL is the top-quality matches that fans have witnessed. As Usman Khawaja said in one of his recent interviews, the Indian Premier League (IPL) is the number one league right now, and PSL is nowhere near it, but PSL is gaining popularity with every passing year.

In the recently-concluded PSL, the Lahore Qalandars won their maiden title when they registered a win over former champions Multan Sultans in the summit clash. Although the Sultans could not win their second consecutive title, England women’s cricket team Heather Knight still supports the team. Here’s what she replied when asked for her favorite PSL team: “Multan Sultans, big fan of Rizwan.”

After the conclusion of PSL 2022, the Pakistani stars are now locking horns with Australia at home for a two-match Test series. The Aussies are on a tour of Pakistan for the first time since 1998. The two nations played in the T20 World Cup 2021 semifinals, where Australia defeated Pakistan and advanced to the summit clash.

Meanwhile, Heather Knight will captain England women’s cricket team in the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2022. It will be interesting to see if England can become the world champion again.
