Klaasen’s towering shot joins the league of extraordinary sixes matched by Nicholas Pooran of Lucknow Super Giants and Venkatesh Iyer of Kolkata Knight Riders, both coincidentally achieved against RCB at the same venue.
Previously, Ishan Kishan of Mumbai Indians had unleashed a 103-meter hit against Sunrisers Hyderabad, while Andre Russell held the record with a 102-meter strike for Kolkata Knight Riders against SRH. Tristan Stubbs also entered the elite club by clearing the boundary with a hit over 100 meters this season.

However, this record might soon be surpassed by other heavy hitters like Liam Livingstone and Faf Du Plessis, who hold the records for the longest sixes in IPL 2022 and IPL 2023 respectively, still active in the tournament.
