NW Air Ambulance responded to Lancashire on Twitter by saying, “Our crew really will be there for patients no matter the location – even on the outfield at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Our service is funded entirely by your amazing support. #ThankYou for keeping our crew flying and delivering the best possible care to the scene.”

They further added saying, “We hope all is well with the patient, and that play is back on track soon. Please, could we share this pic with our followers? It’s a great way to demonstrate how our crew will be there whenever and wherever needed!”

In reply, Lancashire acknowledged by replying, “Yes that’s fine. Our thoughts are with the spectator taken ill”.

Later, NW Air Ambulance made another tweet saying, “Our pilots are highly skilled and can deliver our crew and their medical care to pretty much any location. Glad they were able to land to assist the patient – hope the players didn’t mind us interrupting!”

Irrespective of the reason behind the need for emergency medical assistance, it was certainly a brilliant way to send a message of how the crew of NW Air Ambulance is always there whenever needed.
