In the last league match of the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League, Chris Gayle and Amit Mishra shared a light moment during the first innings. Royal Challengers Bangalore’s captain, Virat Kohli, had called correctly and elected to bat earlier.
On the last ball of the eight over, Mishra beat Gayle outside the off stump. Wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant and Mishra appealed in unison for a caught behind. Realising that there was no edge, Pant aborted the appeal but the bowler in Mishra was desperate for a wicket.
When he finally stopped appealing, Gayle came from behind and put his arms round his shoulder and the duo shared a laugh. Watch the full video:
