Pat Cummins, the Australia speedster became the costliest ever overseas buy in IPL history who was bought by a whopping Rs. 15.5 crore (USD 2.17 million) by Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL auction recently. However, he is still not sure what he will do with this money but he is confident that this will not change him as a person. His price left his teammate Glenn Maxwell (Kings XI Punjab) as well who was in the second place at Rs 10.75 crore, by Kings XI Punjab.
“I will try my best not to change. Lucky, I have got good people around me,” Pat Cummins told reporters ahead of the ‘Boxing Day’ Test against New Zealand.
He was asked what he will do with the money where Cummins shared his views.
“I don’t know [what to do with the money]. My girlfriend… the first thing she said was ‘we can buy the dog a couple more toys now’. She has got her priorities sorted,” Cummins told.

For the pacer, it’s not about the increased bid that he was attracted but love for the game and people around it that make it so worthwhile as well.
“The boys in the team are great but also my family and friends. I still play cricket because I love it. I am really fortunate and grateful for everything that has happened,” Pat Cummins added.
The IPL 2020 auction took place in Kolkata on December 19 where Australia and England players were in the radar since the beginning.
