Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni has always managed to hogg a lot of limelight. Currently, he has been on a sabbatical from cricket after India’s upset in 2019 World Cup and he is yet to play a competitive game. After the mega-event, this is the first time Team India has traveled to a SENA country where they have struggled a lot as Virat Kohli and his men suffered a whitewash in the three-match ODI series.

However, after facing a defeat in the semi-finals against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup, Dhoni decided to keep himself away from cricket. The fans had expected him to return soon into the game but that has not been the case. Its been around seven months that Dhoni had taken a bat in his hands during a cricket match.

There are reports that he will begin with his preparations for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) that will begin from the 29th of March. Dhoni fans across the globe want him to wear that blue jersey once again and play for India in the upcoming T20I World Cup that is slated to be held in Australia starting in October.

Ian Smith feels that a player like Dhoni can never be replaced and it’s not possible that players will not feel his absence on the cricket field. He had almost won the 2019 World Cup semi-final for his team. He also added that he admires the veteran Indian cricketer a lot. And, Smith likes talking about him. But, there is a fact that everyone has to accept that there is a life of a player and the new generation will step up for their chances.
