The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a record-breaking prize pool for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, set to be hosted in India and Sri Lanka. In a historic move, the ICC confirmed a total prize fund of $13.88 million, surpassing even the $10 million awarded at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. According to the official statement, the winners of the 13th edition of the Women’s World Cup will take home a staggering $4.48 million (₹39.54 crore), a dramatic 239% jump from the $1.32 million awarded to Australia in 2022. The runners-up will earn $2.24 million (₹19.77 crore), marking a massive 273% increase compared to England’s $600,000 prize three years ago.

The ICC also revealed further breakdowns of the prize structure, ensuring rewards extend across all teams. The losing semi-finalists will each receive $1.12 million (₹9.88 crore), while teams finishing fifth and sixth will pocket $700,000 (₹6.17 crore) each. Those in seventh and eighth place will get $280,000 (₹2.47 crore) apiece. Every participating team is guaranteed $250,000 (₹2.20 crore), with an additional $34,314 (₹30.28 lakh) awarded for each group-stage victory.
