The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the venues for the USA leg of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2024, marking the first time the tournament will be played in the United States. The three chosen venues are Broward County in Florida, Grand Prairie in Dallas, and Eisenhower Park in New York.
The ICC awarded the event to the USA in 2021, and preparations are underway to ensure the successful hosting of the tournament in partnership with the West Indies. Geoff Allardice, the Chief Executive of the ICC, expressed his excitement about the selection of these venues after an extensive evaluation process.
Allardice noted that the existing venues in Florida and Dallas will be expanded to accommodate more fans, media, and premium hospitality areas using modular stadium solutions. Additionally, a 34,000-seat modular stadium will be built in Nassau County, New York, pending approval from local officials.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to use modular stadium technology. This technology has been used at previous ICC events to increase venue capacity and it’s routinely used in other major sports around the world. In the USA, it will give us the opportunity to increase the size of the venues in both Dallas and Florida and create what is going to be a stunning venue in New York,” said Geoff Allardice.

The announcement also addressed concerns about the readiness of the stadiums in the USA to host the T20 World Cup in 2024. With the venues confirmed and plans in place for expansion and development, the ICC is confident that the tournament will be a success.
In addition to the main venues, several other locations around the USA, including George Mason University in Washington, have been identified as potential venues for pre-event matches and training, further enhancing the infrastructure for the tournament.
