ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour will begin from Monday

While the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup is just around nine months away, ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour, driven by Nissan, is going to begin on this Monday (August 27, 2018).

It will be the “most connected Trophy Tour ever” as it will have more stops than ever. The journey of the Trophy will begin on the upcoming Monday from the International Cricket Council headquarters in Dubai. It will travel in 21 countries and over 60 cities across the five continents.

Except for Afghanistan, the Trophy will tour in all other nine countries which will participate in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales. Moreover, it will travel some cricket growing countries like Nepal, USA and Germany.

While the Trophy will begin its journey from UAE, the travel will continue to Oman, the USA, the West Indies, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, India, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, before landing in the host nations of the tournament England and Wales on February 19, 2019. Then it will make further 100-day domestic Trophy Tour. The cricket fans can take part widely in this Trophy Tour.

According to ICC media release, “During its journey, the ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy will visit iconic and unusual locations, communities, schools, universities and even people’s homes in a bid to connect people globally in what will be the most unique, and accessible Trophy Tour to date.”

The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup will run from 30 May to 14 July 2019 at 11 different venues of the host nations England and Wales. Total 10 teams will participate in this competition – hosts England, defending champions Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, South Africa and Windies.
