The ongoing ICC Under19 World Cup 2022 is scheduled to be concluded soon as India and England are scheduled to be locking horns with each other in the tournament final. The two sides will battle it out at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua and it would be interesting to see which side walks away with the silverware. The ongoing competition has certainly witnessed some exciting battles with the future stars showing their potential at the big stage.
Many of these youngsters are also expected to become stalwarts of the game in the future. After all, that has been the case with many cricketers from the previous editions of the tournament. From Ben Stokes to Virat Kohli, several alumni of the ICC U19 World Cup have gone on to make it big to the highest level. The official Instagram page of the International Cricket Council (ICC) also highlighted the same by sharing a video recently.

The special clip features the likes of Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Joe Root, KL Rahul, Ben Stokes, and Babar Azam. Captioning the video, ICC wrote, “Techniques change, but the class remains Here’s how some of the biggest superstars compare to their #U19CWC playing days. Which player has changed the most?”

The comment section got flooded in no time as fans answered ICC’s query. Speaking of the ongoing competition, India, who have reached the final of the tournament for the fourth successive time, will fight for their fifth title. The semi-final clash saw the Boys in Blue thrashing Australia by 96 runs with skipper Yash Dhull scoring a brilliant century.

After winning the semi-final, Yash Dhull said, “It’s a proud moment (to be the third Indian captain to score a U19 WC ton after Virat Kohli and Unmukt Chand). The idea was to bat steadily, not to try too many shots, and to bat past the 40th over. Myself and Rasheed bat well together, we combine well and it showed. Shaikh Rasheed (who scored 94) and me had a good partnership and we had good partnerships lower down as well. The way in which the boys are playing is good.”
On the other hand, England met Afghanistan in their semi-final clash and walked away with a 15-run win in a rain-curtailed match.
