The most awaited match of upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is on the verge of being abandoned even before the commencement of the tournament. The Board of Control for Cricket in India is in no mood to face Pakistan at the ICC events and the proposed match on June 16 at Manchester can face the brunt of it. In this order, BCCI has written a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) raising the security concern over the match.

“I have received the BCCI’s letter. Security has, and always will be, the top priority of the ICC. When the ICC (board members) meet in Dubai on March 2, we will show the BCCI all the security plans which have been put in place for the World Cup. They can satisfy themselves over the arrangements for the World Cup. Every board is entitled to do that,” Manohar was quoted as saying by Times of India.

Earlier, BCCI wrote them a letter after a terror attack in Pulwama, where Indian army lost their 44 CRPF troops. The relation between both countries is vulnerable since then and expected to get no better any time soon.
