The Asia Cup 2018 has already been a witness to a few interesting matches. However, the most awaited game of the tournament between India and Pakistan is scheduled to be on Wednesday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. There has been a significant amount of buzz for the marquee clash and it is expected to be intensified battle.

Virat Kohli, India’s regular skipper has been rested for the tournament, and in his presence, Rohit Sharma will be leading the squad in the multi-nation tournament. Kohli’s absence will be felt by the men in blue and a number of players from the opposition have talked about taking advantage of the same.

Meanwhile, some of the reports of Geo TV have suggested that Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan is expected to grace in presence in the blockbuster clash in Dubai. One of the sources of the media house said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan will watch the Pakistan-India Asia Cup clash in Dubai on Wednesday, diplomatic sources said.”

Earlier in July, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, led by Imran Khan won the General Elections by beating Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (PML). In the beginning, the party couldn’t accumulate a majority, but later they claimed to have achieved the same. Imran’s oath-taking ceremony took place last month in Islamabad and a number of recognizable personalities graced their presence.

As far as the Asia Cup is concerned, Pakistan, under the leadership of wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed, has already got themselves off to an impressive start by thrashing Hong Kong by eight wickets in Dubai. Their fast bowlers did reasonably well and the Pakistani top order tracked down the target of 117 without much of a difficulty. A victory against India will mean that they will finish atop the points table.
