The three-time champions Chennai Super Kings are having an underwhelming season in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. They are currently reeling at the bottom of the points tally with just three wins in ten games so far. Though the team still has an outside chance of reaching the playoffs, it seems practically impossible as the Yellow Army is struggling hard to find the winning rhythm.
The Purple Cap holder on the 2019 edition, Imran Tahir has been failing to find his place in the playing XI in IPL 2020. He has been warming the bench since the beginning of the tournament as Ravindra Jadeja and Piyush Chawla are leading the spin-bowling attack. There is currently no place for the South African in the Playing XI as the team is playing with four overseas players namely Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Josh Hazlewood, and Sam Curran.

However, Tahir’s exclusion has raised a few eyebrows and the fans are not very happy with his decision. However, he has zero complaints about the same. Recently, while speaking to the former CSK player Ravichandran Ashwin, Tahir expressed that according to him the CSK is the best franchise as it treats all the players very well.
Talking to Ashwin on his Youtube channel, Imran Tahir said, “Best team, from my heart is Chennai. I’ve been all over the world. I’ve never seen so much respect given from a franchise. I’ve never seen someone look after my family so well, the fans in Chennai are unbelievably lovely.”
Imran further highlighted that the management is aware of the fact that everything didn’t go according to the plans and the players fail to live up to the expectations. Thus, they don’t believe in putting extra pressure on the players and maintain a jolly environment in the dressing room.

Tahir elaborated, “When I play there it was a different atmosphere. And the main reason is I love their culture. They don’t talk about performances and are always supportive and that’s is what I like about it as in cricket You’ll perform one day, and not on another.”
