The first T20I between India and Pakistan didn’t go as expected for the hosts as they conceded 0-1 to the visitors in the 2-match series by chasing down the target on the final delivery. India’s middle-order conundrum escalated further as they lost their way from 69/1 in the 9th over to 126/7 in 20 overs. The hosts could take the positives from the match with respect to their bowling as they put themselves into a winning position from a stage where the Aussies were on the verge of winning the game by an 8-wicket margin.

Both the teams will be locking horns with each other in Bangalore for the final T20I and here are some of the crucial stats and numbers that matter ahead of the final match:

  • In the last eight T20I matches at home, India lost its first game in Vizag. They defeated Sri Lanka and Windies 3-0 in 2017 and 2018 respectively under Rohit Sharma.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal has taken 49 wickets in the shortest format at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Among Indians, only Amit Mishra (67 wickets at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi) and Harbhajan Singh (53 wickets at Wankhede, Mumbai) have bagged 50 T20 wickets at a venue.

MS Dhoni became the first Indian to feature in 300 T20s during the T20I series-decider in New Zealand this month. Suresh Raina was the 2nd Indian which he completed by featuring for Uttar Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy on Monday.
  •  Both Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni are currently tied on 349 sixes across formats in International cricket. Whoever among the both will hit a six next will be the first Indian to hit 350 International sixes. Only four players across the globe have hit more sixes than these two players thus far.
  • It can also be said that the Bangalore T20I can be MS Dhoni’s last T20I of his career as India will not play any shortest format game before World Cup after this game and there are certain chances that he will announce retirement after ICC World Cup 2019.
