India ‘A’ squad for UK Tour Announced

On Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) selection committee headed by MSK Prasad has announced India ‘A’ squad for the tour of England which will commence on June 22.

Prithvi Shaw gets a chance in the India ‘A’ squad

The Indian squads for both One-Day tri-series and four-day matches have been announced by the Indian selection panel. While Karun Nair will lead the side in the whites, Shreyas Iyer has been handed over the leadership responsibility in the limited overs. However, a lot of new players have been picked by the selectors by keeping the future of the Indian cricket in mind it seems and all these players are set to be coached by Rahul Dravid once again.

Prithvi Shaw has been included in both the teams and his U-19 teammate Shubman Gill has found a place in the One-Day squad of the UK tour. Krunal Pandya has also been rewarded for his consistent performances in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and will be seen in donning the blue Indian jersey. The young crop of fast bowlers has been included in both the squads which clearly shows that the selectors are looking at the future.
