After registering a thumping win over the Windies in the first ODI Team India will be looking to continue their dominance in the upcoming games as well. On Tuesday, the Indian team management has announced their 12-member squad for the second ODI of the five-match series against West Indies which is scheduled to be played in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma did the job for India in the first ODI

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli has already expressed his desire of giving the players a longer rope and the bowling attack which leaked runs on a flat pitch will get another chance to stake their claim.

Team India will have to decide over including Kuldeep Yadav as India lacked the X-factor in the middle overs and went on to concede 322 runs in the first ODI. One of the fast bowlers then might make way for the chinaman bowler in that case. As of now, if Kohli’s statement after the first match is to be believed, the Men in Blue are most likely to field an unchanged XI on Wednesday.

As far as the visitors are concerned, they will consider making a couple of changes. Their bowlers looked discouraged after starting impressively on Sunday and the pace attack of comprising Oshane Thomas, Kemar Roach and the skipper Jason Holder himself is set to play. One of the spinners, Ashely Nurse or Devendra Bishoo, might be seen warming the bench after the way they were put on remand by Rohit Sharma and Kohli.

However, the pitch at Visakhapatnam is known to be favorable for the tweakers and thus dropping the spinners can become costly. The batsmen did well though who were led by Shimron Hetmyer with a sensational century. The others also should learn from what he did in the first ODI and make India sweat to earn every wicket and if it happens, then the second ODI will be thoroughly entertaining.

If the Caribbean team doesn’t put up a decent show in this game and failed to make a comeback, one will feel that Team India will start smelling a whitewash as well.
