BCCI has announced the Indian squad for the limited overs cricket that will tour England and Ireland. After announcing the Test squad for Afghanistan, BCCI has declared the white-ball Indian squad immediately. India is scheduled to play three T20Is and three ODIs against England, which will start from 3rd July.

ODI squad against England:

Virat Kohli (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, Siddarth Kaul, Shardul Thakur, Bhuvneshwar Kumar

T20I squad against England:

Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Suresh Raina, Manish Pandey, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Sidharth Kaul, Umesh Yadav

The recent IPL performances have benefitted KL Rahul and Amabati Rayudu. Both have made their return to the national side. 32-year old Ambati Rayudu has consistently led the run-scoring charts for Chennai Super Kings and may solve India’s number four problem. Rayudu last played an ODI for India in 2016.

Siddarth Kaul has been added in both the ODI and T20I squad with keeping an eye on his performance in the IPL. He has done incredibly well for Sunrisers Hyderabad and has bowled excellently even in the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The 27-year old Punjab bowler is yet to don India uniform.

India has dropped one of their No.4 batting candidates Ajinkya Rahane from the ODI squad to play in England in July. Rahane had opened the innings for India in England in the tour of 2014 and scored 192 runs in four ODIs with a century in the ODIs.
