During the ongoing second T20I between South Africa and India at Centurion, Manish Pandey and Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored individual half-centuries to end the innings on a much required high note.
After being put in to bat by JP Duminy, India scored 188-4 in 20 overs. The above mentioned duo scored a total of 31 runs in the last two overs to put India in a strong position.
The Indians fans must have been delighted at watching Dhoni finish the innings in a way that he is widely known for. Pandey’s form was also a concern for India, especially after the last match. This innings has silenced his critics to a great extent.
Dhoni scored a four and a six through the mid-wicket region in the penultimate over bowled by Chris Morris. He then scored a six and a couple of boundaries in the last over bowled by Dane Paterson.
He ended up scoring 52* (28) with the help of four fours and three sixes. On the other hand, Pandey scored 79* (48) with the help of six fours and three sixes.
