After the horrifying terror attack on the Indian army, where at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed, the voices against Pakistan have reached sky high. Now, the secretary of the Cricket Club of India (CCI) Suresh Bafna wants India to not play against neighbor Pakistan in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

The 2019 World Cup will be held in England and Wales from May 30 to July 14 and India are scheduled to take on Pakistan on June 16 at Old Trafford, which is the most awaited match of this year’s world cup.

“He (Imran Khan) should respond. He is the Prime Minister and if he believes that Pakistan has no role to play in the attack then why is he not coming out openly. He should come out openly. People should know the truth. He is not coming out openly which means that there are Stains in their folds,” Suresh Bafna added.

After the terror attack, the CCI had covered the portrait of Imran Khan at their Brabourne stadium headquarters in Mumbai. Now the portrait will be removed from the club’s premise. The secretary said that the step was their way of condemning the barbaric attack on the country’s security personnel.
