Former India captain Kris Srikkanth gave a sarcastic suggestion to Team India after they suffered a huge defeat in the second Test against South Africa as well. They were handed a 408-run loss and a 0-2 whitewash at home as well. Notably, it was the second whitewash they suffered at home in two consecutive years, having lost 0-3 to New Zealand in 2024 as well.

“I have a very nice idea (sarcastic). India should play all their matches in neutral venues to do well. Play in England because they did well there. All matches to be played in England, then India will do very well in Test cricket. There will be a full crowd also, Indians will be there to support and watch,” he said on his YouTube channel ‘Cheeky Cheeka’.

However, Kris Srikkanth also slammed the hosts’ failure to save the second Test against South Africa. They entered the final day on 27/2 after being set a massive target of 549 as well. However, they could not bat the entire day out and were out for only 140 in 63.5 overs.

“Even players have to own up. Forget about winning, at least you can’t save the Test? The bowling attack was not so deadly that you can’t play seven hours. This is an overall error in the system, in picking the right XI, and to manage pressure. If there is no system, application, and process, what will you do? South Africa came the a vision, they came with a plan, and they executed,” Kris Srikkant concluded.
